I tried to update the vga drivers, corsair link drivers and added sapphire trixx in case one of them would fix the issue since they are the latest drivers.Īdditionally, there is now artifacting on the screen, which wasn't there before but then before the pc would crash and now its not crashing. It is at #6 that everything started to give that deja-vu effect

I don't really want to take my PC to a shop in case it works out expensive and I spent too much on it as it is.Īnd I'm stumped and sick of swapping the PC's over on the desk as I have only 1 monitorġ Booted up from Win 10 USB dingle dongleģ Made sure to delete any and all partitions into one contiguous space during the install processĤ The system restarted and seemed to be okay at this pointĥ I made a restore point and called it Windows-Base-InstallĦ ***Windows OS automatically updated to the latest versionħ As part of the update - My original restore point was deletedĩ Installed AMD VGA Drivers including Radeon re-live(?)ġ1 Un-installed Radeon relive (still the same) Only this time it does not crash the PC on the second or third flash to black like it used to. Well I re-installed the OS Microsoft Windows 10 圆4 Home Retail again This will be what AMD or Sapphire has supplied. (2) Click " Display adapter properties" at bottom.Īt the 4th tab (if its got one), click " Graphic Properties". You don't want that.Ĭheck the screen resolution is the recommended one, & that no custom scaling is used. Problem however, I don't see it applies to your version of AMD adapter.Īll else I can think of is to inspect the display settings for a glaring anomaly, such as it has custom scaling. There is a FAQ at Sapphire that mentions the If that fails to be a cure, then go to the AMD site & try the auto-detect again. I would do Greg's or Andre's clean install of v.1709 first. Sapphire has a support site too with FAQs. Looks like a real struggle but may be worth it judging by the claims I see at AMD & Sapphire. As they only have 2 GPU's in each there shouldn't be a heat issue, and the cards run at a steady 70c.Intermittent BLACK SCREEN On monitor happens once then display is frozen on black screen! Dell 3007 & Nixeus both connected Dual DVI & Dell U2412 via displayport. Sapphire TriXX too but Ive had that up for a week or so without any issues. I'm running the mining rigs inside cases instead of an open frame because I want to use the components for actual work at a later date. Watching a youtube video on Nixeus during one crash but not the second time, just IE, Chrome & Word running. Surely the CX750 PSU's are up to the job? Any ideas? So what could be causing the problems here? I had BAMT running before I tried Windows, so I thought that might the problem. The PC's are using Zalman cases and the wiring is nice and tidy, and the temperature are fine.

Which leave the PSU and the riser cards as the possible cause. So this IMO rules out the GPU's, the motherboards, the CPU and memory from causing any problems. And I've tried different combinations in each of the PC's (they use different motherboards), but the crashing still occurs. I've tried swapping the cards but they don't seem to be the problem. I've tried running GP0 at intensity 16 and GPU1 at 19, but the crashing still occurs. However I can run individual cards at intensity 19/20 for a long time without crashing. Anything higher than that and the sytem crashes. The cases are open and the GPU's have been mounted via PCI-e riser cables so they run a bit cooler away from the motherboard.įrom everything I read before purchasing the components, the CX750 would have plenty of power to run 2 x 7950's at the same time, but I'm having problems running them together.Ĭurrently I can only get a cgminer stable system (Windows 7) when running the two GPU's at intensity 16 together. I bought 4 x Sapphire Radeon 7950's with the intention of having two in each PC. I currently have 2 PC's with a Corsair CX750 PSU in both of them.
